Michael Starner

Michael Starner is a telecommunications and cable industry professional with over 20 years plus of progressive experience in management, administration, and marketing and sales.

In 2001, Mr. Starner created Access Fiber Solutions (AFS), Inc., a statewide telecommunications service provider of fiber-optic services. In his role as President and General Manager of AFS, Mr. Starner provided the business direction in the educational, healthcare, government and other markets in Pennsylvania for high-speed telecommunication service alternative (voice, video and data networks connectivity) to the traditional "Telco" services. Prior to starting Access Fiber, Mr. Starner was Director of Business Development and Sales at Sunesys/Excelon Corp. Mr. Starner developed the Eastern Pennsylvania region for the sale and leasing of private fiber-optic networks with an emphasis on the market segments of Healthcare, Earth Sciences, Publishing, Education, Manufacturing and Technology. Mr. Starner's previous experience includes positions with Service Electric Cablevision of Allentown, PA (as Corporate Director), Keystone Cable TV, Inc. of Kutztown, PA (General Manager) and Suburban Cable TV Co., Inc., of Jamison, PA (General Manager). As such, Mr. Starner managed multiple corporate level departments and developed new revenue sources for cable and telecommunications services.

Mr. Starner studied Business Management at Bucks County Community College and Trenton State College in Trenton, New Jersey. He also holds a Certificate of Cable Management from the University of Denver, Colorado. Mr. Starner is a past member of PCTA/BCAP Association. He is also a past member of the board of directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County. He has received the President's Award from the Big Brothers organization and a Leadership Award from the YMCA of Berks County. Mr. Starner is currently board member of the Warrington Township Communications Advisory (CATV) board. Mr. Starner resides in Chalfont Pa with his wife Cherie Kemper-Starner and they also own and operate SailTime Phila/Jersey Shore. Travel, cooking, golf and sailing are some of the things done for fun.
